Meat rarely appears at exactly half price in the packaged catalogue, and when it does the promotion usually applies to a specific cut or a branded pre-marinated product rather than to plain mince or chicken breast. Fresh meat markdowns happen in-store, on the day, and are not published in advance — this list will not catch those.

What is published is worth acting on, because meat is normally the most expensive line on a grocery receipt. Almost everything here freezes well: portion it the day you buy it rather than freezing the whole tray, and it will thaw faster and waste less. Frozen seafood in particular is often better value on special than the fresh counter equivalent.
