Is this one worth buying?

Mr Kipling Raspberry & Creme Shortcake Whirls 6 Pack | 150g is currently listed at $3.10 at Coles, against a usual price of $6.20. That is a useful saving on a regular purchase, though not on its own a reason to make a special trip.

Bread freezes better than most people expect. A loaf frozen on the day of purchase and toasted straight from frozen is close to indistinguishable from fresh, which makes half price bread one of the easier things to buy two of. Wraps and pita freeze equally well. Anything with a cream or custard filling does not.

Half price specials at both Coles and Woolworths normally run for one week, from Wednesday to the following Tuesday, and the same lines tend to come back on promotion every couple of months. If you miss this one it will very likely return — but the price shown here is the current one, and prices can change without notice.
